The Bucks County Historical Society (BCHS) is grounded in the legacy of Doylestown native, historian, and archaeologist, Henry Chapman Mercer (1856–1930). Mercer bequeathed his unique concrete castle, Fonthill, his vast collection of early Americana, and the the Mercer Museum, in which it was housed, to the historical society. Today, BCHS continues to champion Mercer's legacy through education, preservation, and interaction.
In 2017, BCHS had a new president and CEO. She realized that their messaging and branding had lost focus over years of working with a varied group of design vendors. I developed a Brand Guidelines document to refocus their branding and maintain consistency in their messaging. The end result was successful. It was shared throughout the organization and with all new vendors.
